A DAY ON THE BUSY STREET part 1
Hey Guys here a post I would like to share with you. By the way I’m a guy from Pampanga Philippines. Anyway every wonder what could be those people in the street doing? What they do to survive? What they eat? How they earn money? What are their concerns? Well try walking on the streets in any day of the year, you’ll see these people doing things to earn something for their families. Maybe a lot of us just do things to make our needs satisfied because obviously we have our source of finance in that terms. In this post I would like to tell you what I saw on the streets for my one week observation on the streets.
I started the day by eating breakfast then get ready to go for a day I did some hygiene and groom myself and head for the nearest spot where I could ride a jeepney. So here is one these jeepney drivers what would it be without them on the streets, I know how they live their life as a jeepney driver they do have their organizations and they are being organized by their schedules and the thing they call “PILA” its a list of those drivers that go on their so called “pasada” when you are listed as no. 1 you need to be at the terminal for 2am because it would be the first trip of the day. These jeepney drivers are very hard working and very helpful to us in ways of transportation. But look what happen to them when the price of petroleum increase they suffer from lack of budget because it takes a long time for them to have a increase of fare but these petroleum companies just go up and up and up. So what would these driver bring home if their earnings for the the just go for a gas up? Their families would be making a compensatory way to make their budget fit. That’s what a jeepney driver go on to in the country. Then I reached the bus stop, here I saw these vendors of different kinds of snacks for the trip. Then I wondered how much do they earn in a day because passengers like me would eat before going on a trip, from what I’ve observe these guys are really full of energy and exerting effort just to earn something for their family. Those what I’ve observe for only commuting to go to Manila. I’ll be posting the continuation of this later.
